.MINOR FIELDS OF MARTIAL ARTS STUDY

E   Every ITA Black Belt is encouraged to broaden and strengthen their Martial Arts knowledge base.  Exposure to different instructors , thoughts and concepts within a structured ITA environment is healthy.  Every ITA Black Belt should devote the majority of their time pursuing the study of ITA TaeKwonDo within the limits of published curriculum.  TAEKWONDO should be considered a students primary educational Major.  ITA has strict published curriculum limits defining what TaeKwonDo is and is not.  Teaching CDT, SWORD, XTREME FORM, GROUND ESCAPE, TACTICAL SHORT STICK AND HANMUDO Techniques  requires a separate certification in a designated minor field of study.  Every ITA Black Belt should select at least one Minor study opportunity and maintain proficiency and certification.  ITA Black Belt Conventions provide an opportunity to enhance Major and Minor fields of study for personal enrichment and/or certification privileges.

HanMuDo, Native Korea Sword, Ground Escape, Xtreme Form, Tactical short stick and CDT should be viewed as minor educational study in the same way students in a University academic environment would declare a major and minor.  The purpose of the minor field of study is recognized as providing a broad perspective that is supportive of the major field of study.  ITA students have all declared their major study (TaeKwonDo) and are encouraged to declare a minor field of study.

Minor Fields of Study seminars and limited classes must be taught under that seminar description, in appropriate uniform and not within TaeKwonDo classes.  CDT, SWORD, XTREME FORM, GROUND ESCAPE, TACTICAL SHORT STICK AND HANMUDO Techniques cannot be taught in TaeKwonDo classes regardless of level of black belt.  CDT, SWORD, XTREME, SHORT STICK, GROUND ESCAPE AND HANMUDO Techniques taken from those disciplines and curriculums and inserted into ITA TaeKwonDo class or protection seminars is not ethical.    The copyrighted materials of all programs are protected.  These techniques can only be taught within active licensed relationships.
